9 January 1984: Time runs a story about Doctor Who, referring to 10,000 students at the University of Illinois watching the series on the campus PBS station.
4 December 1984: The complete Jon Pertwee package begins.
1 April 1986: The William Hartnell stories begin, followed by Patrick Troughton.
